Peachy Keen on the Grill


Dessert is sometimes the best part of the meal. And here’s one that won’t heat the house, no oven needed! The markets a are flooded with stone fruit right now. For this recipe it’s best to select slightly under ripe fruit. Cut the stone fruit – peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots, in half or quarters. Remove the stone and place them on a hot grill. Watch them closely, they won’t take long, turn as needed to grill them on all sides.

Remove them from the grill and sprinkle with ground cinnamon. For adults, serve them with a spoonful of marscapone cheese, a few cacao nubs, and a port wine. For children, serve them with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
